Zapper beam sound too low? - brell - 12-11-2011
Could it be that the sound of zapper beams in the HD is too low? At least lower than in the original?

I don't find the zapper beams sound too low or lower than in the original MM. But then again I do have a very good hearing.

I don't. I found out, however, that by choosing softer music in the controls I hear the beams better.

Ah, that is what I have on too. I remember I had thoughts about the music when we started testing MM HD and Vern added this Softer music option.

It is possible the sound effects volume balancing is different. i've had to rip out and replace the sound engine several times while developing the HD version (lots of frustrating problems in each!) and they all handle stereo-3D panning of sounds differently. Meaning that, while I've tried to make the HD version as close to the original as possible, it's quite possible things are different. I'm open to suggestions if you think something should be louder or softer.

As I said above: My hearing is not what it used to be
If I set the sound a little higher and use the
softer musicfeature it is OK.

I hate those zapper sounds anyway, it usually means death for Jack.
