I'm trying to repeat this - it was very weird, and the first time I saw anything like it. I was in one of the mansions, and I aborted the game, when the title screen came up there was no text visible at all - just the artwork. The areas on the screen you would

I was able to reproduce it once. I went to Knight Mansion easy (chosen at random), wandered into 2-3 rooms, then aborted the game. While waiting for the title screen, I idly clicked on the loading screen. I saw the words briefly appear, then completely disappear. Strange.
Update 2: Haven't seen the issue since Beta 2, and Vern didn't include it in the list of open bugs. Assumed to be fixed.
pressstill worked, though. I started another mansion, then tried to abort again. This time all the text was displayed correctly.
