Congratulations! :) Hope you did enjoy it. Although it became tougher and tougher. I suppose ...

Important question to evaluate my mansion. Were the BBBs of any help?

And now I know why you were not ALWAYS on the boards ... ;)

I enjoyed it very much, thank you.  But regarding toughness...  after finding the one gold bag I missed (see the checkpoints thread) it was more or less plain sailing because as you get further, the mansion becomes richer with gold and thus your Jacks will be plentyful if you play carefully, which most of the time means:  Don't hurry!  When I arrrived to the ultimate maze I had 73 Jacks so it was no bother loosing a few.

MMaM is indeed a puzzle-mansion, not a mansion where you risk to get without Jacks. In that way, HoW is much closer to the edge!

Wow I wish I had the time to do that. I know I could do it, but it would take so long! By the way, Brell, how long did it take you??  :-?  ;)

Maybe you want to know MY time? And I knew the way of course ...

375 minutes

3-hundred-75 minutes ????? :D :)

Oh Freddy, you're killing me...... now I know why I never managed to master MM & M.... if YOU need 375 minutes, it'll take me 500 minutes or more..... that's close to 9 hours or something !!

Yeah, I know...... (I heard you say: "But you don't have to do it in one go, that's why I put so many saving points and checkpoints in there")     :D ;D

Maybe one day, when I have a couple days off.....  :)

BTW: Serious now..... after you last updated M M & M  I tried to pick up my last game (on the 7th saving point or something) and NONE of the old "saved games" worked anymore.....  everytime the game crashed, and an sign said something about an error  !!
So I had to start from the beginning AGAIN (ca. the 5th time I did that).... which made it even more frustrating.

Please start MMaM again and have a look at the map. What version are you playing?

Congratulation![smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]

I wish I had more then 10 Jacks in the ultimate maze! (Where is a envy-smiley?)

This is indeed very strange:   I usually keep all older versions when an update arrives. Then I name the older versions V1, V2 etc. and leave the latest one with the original name (without appendix).  Then I put the older versions into a backup folder and leave only the latest one in the "Custom Mansions" folder.

I haven't looked on the map yet, but I checked the versions, and the last update I put into back-up is from Feb. 10,  2007...while my "current" (=newest) version is from Oct. 2006....  so maybe I made a mistake somewhere.....!    8-)

I'll check from within the game later.... and download MM + M once more, to be on the safe side.

Tx Rose  :)

When I first tried MM&M I sort of gave up (took a loooong pause) after trying the ultimate maze with too few Jacks.  Then I decided to try and go for all secrets and gold and start over again.  Believe me, that method works a lot better.

Good idea! I did start that approach but I have been sidetracked by all the new mansions.  As we say here in Sweden: what you haven't done today can be done tomorrow!

Or to take it further:  Don't postpone until tomorrow what you can as well do the day after  ;)

The "talk" between rose and brell reminds me of two things.

1° Thanks to the added BBBs, I believe that brell's approach is indeed the best one. Go for EVERYTHING: the 100 % secrets AND the $ 500.000.

2° There is nothing wrong with being sidetracked by other mansions (or gardening or whatever). That is why the 12 checkpoints and the 34 saves are for! It makes it possible to take a loooong pauze. ;)

Freddy pointed it out to me that of course I could restart from the last saving point to record the time  :-[

It is 677:04 minutes

Freddy,
even though I re-donwloaded your mansion, my old saved games still can't be loaded. So the version wasn't the problem...!!
What's going on ??

I think the problem is otherwise. Your saved game files were made with a too old version of MMaM. Please let me know how many saves you did make in MMaM? And the (aprox.) dates of those files. Then I try to give you some customized help.
