Note: doesn't look Italian.
But he knows conjurer tricks for sure! Here comes my latest effort at making increasingly tiny mansions. Share and enjoy! :D http://www.actionsoft.com/forums/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?action=downloadfile;file=The_Great_Santini.zip (29 KB | )

Toybox....
I really liked that one !! (Nice little trick indeed !!) Has the name been inspired by the recent movie "The Prestige" (by Christopher Nolan) ?? If you haven't seen it, I can really recommend it to you (and everybody else)..... it's one of the best films in recent years (and there have been a lot of good movies recently)..... starring Michael Caine, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and the ever-lovely Scarlett Johansen. Plus...David Bowie's making a surprise appearance as Nicholas Tesla, inventor of the vacuum tube. It's a wonderful film about magic. |

I just watched that recently for the first time, really loved it!
Read this unless you plan to watch the movie: Frighting how he had to clone himself alot to preform a trick. And making the person who was being cloned go through the trap door and and going into the water tank that kills him. Very interesting movie. :) By the way, I'm not that patient. How long do you wait there?? The falling platform doesn't take jack with him! :o |

Nope, that was an episode of Columbo ("Now you see me"). Hence the first comment in my post btw ;)

You don't have to go anywhere. Just wait, see him perform his magic trick, and voilą :D. |

How long is it that you have to stand there? I'm getting impatient and jacks, well, sleeping... Do you need to be in one certain place????

I think he forgot to adjust the trapdoor.... or forgot how to preform the trick!

Just down where the arrow points. No trick? No appearing and disappearing? [smiley=huh.gif]

Oh, I see.... ;D Never understood that "Italian" remark..... I even remember having seen that episode a long time ago.... it's one of the old (+ good) ones...ca. mid-70s if I remember correctly ?! |
Title: Re: The Great Santini Post by aquaMat on 04.03.2007 at 18:16:38
@Wingy:
Absolutely !! And your comment about the trap door reminds me that there's even more in common between MM and "The Prestige" !! :) |
Title: Re: The Great Santini Post by Toybox on 04.03.2007 at 18:23:51
Indeed, mid-70's (the good period ;)). Glad to see another Columbo appreciator!

Yeah !!
BTW: I always liked best the episode starring Johnny Cash !! That was fantastic.... And...even if Columbo is the role of Peter Falk's life...(guess he'll die in that trenchcoat ;))...he was never better than when he played in the old John Cassevetes movies...(before he became famous as Columbo) !! |

Swan Song? Curiously enough I saw it the first time last year only (even though I had seen most episodes ever since I was a young boy, some of them about a thousand times). One of these episodes where you cannot help feeling sorry for the killer ::)
