Title: Greetings from newbie Josephine
Post by josephine on 02.06.2007 at 18:39:22
I desperately need a hint for A Curious Observatory, please. I keep getting stuck at the three blue doors with only TWO keys and nowhere else to explore (even after surviving the thunderstorm!) Should I be finding another blue key before sliding down the poles or after? (After sliding down I can only find one.)

Thank you!

Can't answer your question, josephine, I just wanted to say hello and welcome.

Wow, congrats on surviving the thunderstorm. I've never quite made it. Almost, but not completely, and I always gave up.

I'm anxious to see the answer to this question myself, because I've never had enough blue keys for that final portion.

Hi and welcome! I am also pursuing th ACO. I haven't survived the thunderstorm yet but practise will eventually pay off. I don't either know where the third key is and i have cheated by looking in Mansion level builder :-/ :'(

Hi and welcome Josephine.

Make you your own Mansion, or play you all another Mansion from the Mansion-List?
Yeah A Curious Observatory is a easy Mansion, lol. But i have looking for the Mansion Builder and have cheated the keys... lol Semi that is my idea!  ;)

Hey, Josephine! Can you tell me which blue keys you already have?

Hi guys! (I also posted an introduction on the other thread.) I finally found a third blue key after doing the "short" ending. So off to the blue doors... enter... stuck again.

Psychtronic- I'll have to get the ID #'s, but basically the only room I didn't do was the spinning zappers. Will pull levers for a while, maybe that will result in a fourth blue key. So far this is my most (and least!) favorite cm. The layout is great, not too linear but not too much aimless wandering. Nice work!

I've played around with the level builder a little but never completed one. There probably isn't enough time to complete a whole mansion for the contest, but if I ever finish a level I'll post it.

As for the thunderstorm, I tried to play all the way up to it without losing a single life. HA. But 10 lives was enough to get through and down to the save point. (It helps to jump into the spot where the lightening just struck.)

Hmm. Let's see. If you're talking about the code room with five levers, you shouldn't have to pull levers randomly. The code is hidden about the mansion in five pieces. But if you find four out of five, you should still be able to crack the code. And then the mansion gets REALLY hard. Thanks for the kind words.

Maybe the pieces of the code are not what I thought they were. Will get back into it this weekend.

Cannot figure out the order of the levers above the blue doors!  Hey Psychotronic- PM'd you to avoid spoilers.

You weren't kidding about the rest of the mansion getting really hard!   :o
