Hi Everyone,

I am not sure why I have a forum with my name, and not the mansion name, or why there is a forum already, but this is the way it is supposed to be, Freddy assures me.

It is true, for the last week I have been having a lot of fun, and learning so much stuff trying to build a mansion (also at times getting frustrated >:( at my inabilities, and then finding some more patience, and carrying on :-?).  I was inspired by Wingy's young brother, Tim.  [smiley=cheesy.gif] 

I asked Freddy to look at the mansion after I had built about 50 rooms to help decide if it should go into the category of "Free up and down-loading" or if it should be beta-tested and possibly go into the CM section.  He has graciously started beta-testing it, and pointing out areas for improvement and things it needed to be more "finished" looking.  My thanks to him for being such a great mentor. [smiley=dankk2.gif]

I don't know if we will even need a forum for this upcoming mansion "Immortal Ruins" as it is no where in the league of Catacombs, Church, MM&M, TPI or Volcanis, etc.  and all the other wonderful, exciting, detailed mansions built by very creative, ingenious designers.   [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]

As this is my very first attempt at a mansion, and since I am rather inept at computer stuff (got my first computer in the home just 15 months ago), I don't want to get any ones hopes up, and when if it does get released, I would appreciate any comments or feedback people have, in case I ever get the itch to build another one. [smiley=rolleyes.gif]

At present, Immortal Ruins is at about 70 rooms, and there is about a third more to go, and since I have a general idea of what I want the outline of the mansion to be, the finishing stages of this may take a bit of time.  I will put up a screen shot as soon as I figure out how to do that! :-?

I hope when it is done, and if it gets into the CM category, some of you will have a bit of enjoyment playing it. [smiley=cheesy.gif]

Hey, Frost did a first mansion and it was sweet! I'm sure that Frost had beginner's luck...

Before I started designing mansions, I played lots of the easier mansions (because I wasn't too good at MM at the time) and got lots of inspirations to start building! Also, I read the documention in the game folder unlike most people... (Not pointing any fingers)

Hi There,

I have been working hard on Immortal Ruins, and have now got the outline for the 'mansion' done.  It's not really a mansion per se, as it takes Jack above and below ground, and into some old buildings along the way.

With the outline it will be about 120 rooms, so still a bit of work left to do, as I only have 85 rooms complete, and most of those still need to be tested.

I am sending along a screen shot, I hope this works. :-? :question

Well....... Obviously that didn't work, so maybe one of you computer savvy folks could explain how it is you get those marvelous screen shots right in your posts?  Open and viewable without any clicking or downloading?

I am using an iMac and presently have the screen shot on my desktop as a 'png'.

We'll this is a .png screenshot right here... directly from the desktop with no edits from the screenshot...

Try this: You might be doing something differant.

Open the editor or MM in windowed mode to make it easier, then open what room you want room you want to screenshot, press COMMAND + SHIFT + 4 (in that order one after the other). Select what area you want to screenshot, then release the mouse button. Go to the desktop, find picture 1 or whatever.

Attach picture 1 to a post with the nifty attachment thing.

If it still doesn't work, open picture 1 with preview. In the file menu, press "save as..." and save it as a JPG (aka JPEG). Attach the JPG version to a post.


Also,,, if you didn't know, you can get rid of that weird blue "?" by editing your post up there, and select "attach new file" to that menu in the attachment section of the post modify.

I'm already dreaming of Jack being trapped somewhere, every night when I go to sleep.  Does anyone else get this symptom when building a mansion?  Or am I just obsessed by MM? ..... AAAAAGGGGHHHHH   I can't get Jack out of my head ! [smiley=evil.gif]

Shivering skeletons, windmill-fishbones, ... Oh yes, we haven't seen everything from Midnight Mansion (non-EP) yet. Over 100 rooms are awaiting you. Soon.

So hurry up already!  I'm starting to get busy with actual work :o and I WANNA PLAY!!!  ::)

Hi Mikee,

The completed mansion is about 135 rooms, and at this point, Freddy has called it 'Hard', but we will wait to see what his final decision is on that.  We are just finishing up some bugs and quirks, and hope to release it by Nov. 1st if all goes well.
