According to http://www.acronymfinder.com it means Spaghetti Bolognese  ;)

I must second this post though. Please write out the full name of the mansion, at least in the thread name!

Yes and no. Of course I could and probably should have done it. And will fix it anyway.

But when going to the list sorted by date, Small Palace of Gore is of course shown on top. Not that difficult when one is interested in downloading this mansion, I think. :-?

But I like to have anyone's attention about the importance of the abbrevations for our custommansions. A few months ago discussions started about which custom mansions deserve a seperate board. Now, besides answering this question, the swopping of the topics is a serious problem. Because so many topics have subjectnames without any clue about what they are about. That is why I started adding abbreviations AND even important, at Talk there is now a brand new sticky called "Hall of Custom Mansions", where I added a complete list of all 81 custom mansions. Including the versionnumbers, designers and abbreviations.

If you want a shortcut to see it:

Should I understand this that people like that can't figure the abbreviations has to look for what it means first?

No and yes.

When a member sees a new topic, it should be clear what mansion it is about. So, there I was mistaken. Either the subjectname of the topic OR the text of the post should have contained the full name of the mansion. I assume that I was too tired last night. Anyway, sorry about that. :-[

But concerning older topics, the golden rule indeed will be: check at the Hall of Custom Mansions what the correct abbreviation is. That will be a small effort, before diving in the 9 pages with 169 topics, when you are looking for some information about 1 single mansion. I really believe that this is a major help for all MMF-members. Especially new ones.

The adding of abbreviations at Talk is not finished yet. Will take a while. Thx for understanding.

It is a small effort indeed if you are about to dive into the 9 pages of topics (all the more since one can probably find out the abbreviation him or herself when they know which mansion they are looking information about.)

However, what of those who just look at the last postings using the "latest posts" thingie?

[smiley=bath.gif]

So no two mansions have the same initials then?  8-)

Someone who looks at the 30 ;) latest posts, should have no problems, because he/she isn't looking for answers concerning a single mansion AND the latest posts should always contain clear onfo. Should. :-[

Sorry folks,

I have problems with finding that such a "dramatic issue" !

After all, we have been using the abbreviation SPoG for Small Palace Of Gore for at least 10 months now......... (just like M M & M).

Although I second the view that in thread names it'd be better to use the full name.
But as I can see, Freddy did just that by calling it:
SPoG > update of Small Palace Of Gore

Well, I didn't know and newer members might be even more frustrated then I!

If there is abbreviation within a tread it is OK I think, but in the subject line it is bad. I am not accustomed to use abbreviations. AND there is enough room to write the names in full!

@Rose:

Okay, you're right !   8-)

@Freddy:

What is strange:  although you have already released the update of SPoG (oops, I did it again), it cannot be seen on the "Mansions released by date" - list !!?!

Thx for reporting it. And please keep on doing that. We, admins, really need everyone's help day and night. Indeed, it still needs to be fixed at all 3 lists! But at the "Hall" it is okay!

Btw, several other mansions soon will get an update with a fixed amount of secrets.

EDIT: 3 lists fixed. :)
