Title: The Dragon Trap - a question
Post by brell on 23.03.2008 at 02:44:53
Still replaying old mansions.  No I've totally forgotten where the key is to open the yellow door in room 18500 in The Dragon Trap hard.  I've been searching all around but can't find it.  A hint is needed.  Tx

Edit:  Actually, it looks like I need at least 2 yellow keys!

I think it's down below, if I remember correctly.

Playing The Dragon Trap......I am stuck.....can't go anywhere.  In the area towards the end, rooms 20300 or 20301.....in that area.  I can't get out the the upper floors.  Is that a Jack Stuck?  How do I get out of there?

Help please......you can PM if you wish.

Thank You.

Which place can't you get out of? The general area, or is it a specific room you can't cross? (Please send a screenshot if it makes explanations easier, e.g. if stuck in a single room)

Hi Toybox

That is one sure sneaky Exit Door.  The below pic, Jack stuck on that ledge.  It costs him a life to get out of there.

Oh, you are probably not meant to be able to arrive there alive. Do you arrive from the ladder above?

I will look into the matter and send an update soon.

Hi Toybox,

This happens in BOTH rooms that have that same scene.

I used the bottom ladder with the ledge on top.....then I jump to the right, onto the sinking blocks.  I jump up,up and over.

Also, there is a problem with the room numbers in the second section of the lower level.  The room numbers stop changing.

Other than that, It's a Great Mansion.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=cheesy.gif]Very creative.  Love It.  I've played it many times.  Still trying to figure out were there is a 2nd yellow key, to open the 2nd yellow door under the 1st save.  Is there one?

Ah, I see. I think you grab the vine when you are actually not supposed to. Well spotted! I fixed the problem and will send the update to an administrator in a few minutes.

(BTW, when you say both rooms, you mean in TDT Hard and TDT Normal?)

What worries me is:
Also, there is a problem with the room numbers in the second section of the lower level.  The room numbers stop changing.

:o :-? :o
This is very strange indeed. I never observed that bug before; I'm afraid this is independent of me. We should probably contact Vern about it.

Oh, and thank you for the compliment  :) There is no key to that door. If I remember well, there should be an awful layout trick (that is, the door doesn't lead anywhere). It is meant to convey an impression of huge castle, and unexplored hallways leading to the same save point or something.

before you notify Vern, go thru the game yourself.
pay attention to the last area, the exit side........then start to monitor the room numbers.
either it is a glitch in the game or my iMac.
just a suggestion

It could also be a rare glitch, so that I wouldn't experience it but it wouldn't be only your mac. But, well, if I have to play the game for, er, research purposes, I will happily sacrifice some free time  ;)
