Title: Version 1.0
Post by Freddy on 31.08.2008 at 02:52:19
Here is Olle the Greatest's  first mansion! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Because of the demand of a lot of MMF-members: a large, but easy mansion.

The Octopus Mansion has ... 8 arms. And while playing the first 'arm', I can confess that the game is easy in general, but the map showed me, that I have been missing several side wings. :-?

Close to 150 rooms!!!! More than enough playing time to come. :)

OtG, congratulations. [smiley=beer.gif]

Downloading of this new mansion is easiest with the 'important topic' (sticky) on top of this board.

thank you for that freddy :)

I can add that the otg Octopus Mansion Easy is also to be considered a teaser for the otg Octopus Mansion which is soon to be released... [which has about 100 more rooms...]

happy MM:ing everyone!

Hi Freddy -

I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone, buy my "Important Topics" is not 'above' but on the previous page.I would never 'nit pic' except that you are trying to make instructions clear over a lot of different languages. The MM community is amazing, but, I would guess, an Administrator nightmare linguistically. As far as English goes, several of us are pretty good translators if you have a need. The new MM Forum is looking so good - a true composite of members suggestions. Amazing job by you and brell.

:-[ Of course you are right. Maybe I forgot that I was NOT designing a tricky mansion?! ;D
Thx for reporting. I will rearrange those texts.

EDIT: fixed! :)

This is a GREAT mansion! Thanks, and congratulations. It's so much fun to play because the design is really clever, it's a bit challenging in spots but overall easy to normal, and it's big!

Awesome job.
8-)

I've only seen two 'arms' yet. And yes, how nice  it is built up! It must be interesting for new players and a relaxing, although important experience for regulars. I really like it.

thanx for the fine words about my first mansion :) I hope there will be more... I know there will be more, since the Octopus Mansion [not easy, not that normal either all the time] is soon to be released. It's slightly bigger [like 108 more rooms] and involves a lot more secrets, mazes and hopefully challenging stuff...

and thanx for playing :) [even though people seem to jump where they shouldn't ;)]

Olle, what an intriguing and creative design. It keeps you wondering which direction you're going to go next. Now if I can just make it to my first save pedestal.  :-[

Thanks. Now if I can just keep Jack alive! I keep dying after the 2nd save in Room 14900.

Yes it is. But I'm afraid it may be beyond my skill set at this point.  :(

when there are single skulls, I usually jump straight up [space bar] and when Jack is in the air, I hit the arrow to make him move sideways. That way I can wait with the arrow key and adjust his jumping length quite easily. Not that it didn't take some practice :D

Oh, that's how it's done. I'll give that a try. Thanks.  :)
