I never seem to be able to find 100% secrets. How can I find how many secrets there are before I start a mansion? :-?

you can't, unless you cheat. That's one of the charms with MM, you often have to replay the mansions to search for more secrets

Definitely, after some years of playing and building, I usually don't find all secrets in a new mansion although I keep kneeling and jumping and pulling in every spot of every mansion... which is part of the fun indeed :)
