Title: Dreaded 19103
Post by dlcatftwin on 20.09.2010 at 13:06:14
Hi again, folks.
Okay, so now I'm here-again. Can't jump onto the right-side of column platform without falling down to room below (which resets the upper left platform in front of the green door - the green door is my objective). Any suggestions? ANy other ways to keep that green door platform extended?
Thanks,
DLC

This is a very , very hard mansion to play. You have to stand nearly in the air to be able to do the jump. I learned the jumping in aquaMats "Jumps". This mansion is sometimes even harder to master.

this jump took Jack days to master - he almost gave up but the lure of the rest of the mansion was too hard to resist.

the trick is to first stand as far out as you can and then time the jump so that the brick is almost all the way down to the bottom.  easier said than done, but practice makes perfect.

   good luck!

@ MTGA:
Thanks for having the patience to try long enough until you made it!
I hope you were rewarded with the rest of the mansion....??!

@dlcatftwin:
I know it's hard to the point of frustration (even I often have to repeat this jump a few times) - but trust me - it IS possible.
And at least I have constructed it in such a way that you don't lose a life if your jump isn't "wide" enough (as you're catched from the vine in the room below).

As for the "reset" feature (after Jack has left and re-entered the room) this is making it extra-hard - but it also serves a point:
To show the player that there must be a way to solve it without leaving the room.

TIP:  TIMING IS EVERYTHING.

Please don't lose faith & patience !!
And don't let this room frustrate you....
