It's been a while since I posted anything so I though I'd do so now with this small confession.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am gay.

Why would I be confessing that you ask? I really don't know, I just felt it needed to be out there

Thanks for sharing, it was a brave thing to do. To me, a person's character is the important thing, not which gender you love. Hang in there against the haters.

as a friend of mine sometimes says; "I'm a gay woman trapped in a guy's body..." neither preference nor gender is relevant anymore (or at least shouldn't be)

quiet indeed, either people are playing HD-mansions (like myself, been playing surcouf's mansions and tronic's zoo, and my own octopus (even though I got a jack stuck so I had to give up for the moment :D) or perhaps there will be an explosion of custom MM2-mansions in a while since people are building like maniacs

or perhaps there's something else going on in the world, making people have little time to spare

It would be nice to have some new mansions to play. And congrats, Leon.  :)

I haven't upgraded to Lion yet because of those problems and other apps I use that aren't compatible. Now I hear Apple is coming out with Mountain Lion this summer! Yikes!

I started with Apple IIc in 1983.  128k of memory, no hard disk, but with a 5.25" floppy drive.  The system was Apple DOS and ProDOS.
My first Mac was SE20 with 20 mb harddisk and 1 mb memory and System 6.0.3  :)

gay means happy too, right? macintosh computers, remembering old days and chatting with nice people are all making you happy, right :) This thread evolves in a logical way, we are all gay when participating :D

my first mac was an iMac blueberry in '97, with OS8. My dad had a classic and when I went to high school we also had classics, with 3.5" disc drives, a lot more modern than brell's first computer :) we even had a digital camera. With like 64x72 pixel resolution :D

I think it says a lot of nice things about the hard-core MM community that your openness about being gay is taken so in stride (and segues into a love of Macs!). I think we're all a bit "quirky" because we love this game (a compliment) - and so many of us are also Apple addicts ('85 for my first) too - and don't mind that anyone ascribes to the "Think different philosophy; whether the difference is being gay or purple or loving our Macs or whatever.

"Gay" is a non-issue, it's about a person's character :)

But I'm confused, Olle mentioned Palais Pompomrouge- are leo and Leon the same person?

Oh- I still have my original PowerMac 7300 running OS9 (as late as it will go.) The cat will kill me if I get rid of it, it's his favorite place to sleep when I'm on the other computers  ;D

ha ha so I mixed up leo and leon, doesn't matter, palais pompomrouge is still exquisite (don't know whether leo is gay though :D) and it still doesn't matter whether one is gay or not
