A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

Need help with Three Way mansion
02.01.2007 at 08:46:44

Hi all,
Happy New Year!
I am trying out the (new) mansion called "Three Way Mansion" Currently I am engaged in the "normal" route.
I am at panel 801 (dark!) and cannot seem to find a way to take the down arrow coins. I did find the secret room to the left, and got all the routes in room 801, but can't find a way at that arrow!
Advice cheerfully received.
Thank you,
DLC

Hi!  Welcome to the boards and thanks for playing my mansion.  Did you pull the lever in #801?

I see nobody has posted about this mansion for the last year.  Have been playing the newer mansions and not making a whole lot of progress.  Brell, I have just finished Three Way Mansion in Hard mode and have 50% secrets.  Is there some way to go back to the beginning to do the other ways to get a higher percentage?  I tried going backwards from my Save but can't get back through the Pink Floyd room.

Hi Jackie.  You are not able to go back in TWM.  If you are in the PF room then you are in the easy part of the mansion, not the hard one.  Each section contains equal amount of secrets.

If you want a mansion of this sort where you can go back and try again with a different difficulty, try Back to Square One.

Brell, I have been playing Back to Square One as well as several other mansions and like it very much except I could really use a hint in Room 16015.  I'm on the lower level and can't figure out how to get the red and green keys off to the right and can't seem to get to another level, which I apparently have to do. Embarrassed

Jackie, you should post a question about BtSO under a BtSO thread or make a new thread.
Notwithstanding that:
I take it that you are in the lower left corner (i.e. the easy version).  Then you need to get to the upper right corner and do not worry about the red and green keys for now.
