The forums is run by three administrators. Read here who they are and what you may (and may not) expect from them.

Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

The removing of Porn & Pharma (ex-"I think ...")

I think that there is no reason for panic. But it is clear that some unserious persons became member for other reasons than MM. The "good" news is that it is manual work. So far. And that we, administrators, have less work to throw them out than they have to come in.

Before the Britney Spears affair, I handled two of them myself. Yesterday afternoon and this afternoon there were already two posts at Talk with immediate links to +18 sites (in America probably +21 ---> don't know).

We have very good software to stop those individuals. First of all I delete the post completely and as quick as possible. (There is no need to send PMs or emails since Brell, Suztours (later) and I several times a day check the boards.) The ... third step is removing that member from the list.

But in between I ban that "member". Once? No! Twice? No! Three times!! The software makes it possible in three ways to ban persons: with their name, with their email address and, most important, with the IP-address of their computer. So once someone is on our "black list" he needs in the first place an other computer to get in.

@ Brell:
Do we delete the whole Britney-stuff or not?

Yes, I think we should now, people have seen what was going on.  I, however, was too quick and forgot to ban the sender's IP.  Will do it next time.

Today I removed the 20th dubious post and banned that "member" Roll Eyes.

As soon as someone has the feeling that the temporary presence of doubtful posts is really irritating, just let us know. There are things we can do, but it would also slow down the process of registering. And as long as it doesn't feel forced, we want to avoid that.

However, the main reason for this post is that these boards are for the whole family! So please contact us if you feel the need to.

Angry Since we had a serious increase of weird and explicit posts during last weekend, we have changed the rules for posting on the boards a little bit.

Members need to send their first post to one of the administrators for control. And the administrator places that post on the forums when it is okay. Only then, our Newbies (new membergroup) become Lost Ones and are able to post things themselves.

We really hope that it will stop or substantially reduces P&P-posts on our boards. This site is supposed to be family-friendly. And I don't want to sit day and night at my computerdesk to remove posts and ban weirdo's. Angry

EDIT: For technical reasons it is NOT possible to become a Lost One with only 1 post. It needs 2.

It really got a bit too much, all that spam.....

And I think it's a very good idea, Freddy, to do it like this, as it's a typical behaviour for spammers, to go register somewhere and immediatly post some dubious stuff.

It should really become less now.....!!
