Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Bottoms Up Mansion

Tongue This is my 1st mansion. I bought the game last week after finishing 1 or 2, then the whole. Reminds me of Lode Runner & Spae Station Pheta of old. >

Let me know of any bugs -I've played the mansion a few times, specifically trying to mess up here & there & see if I can get finished anyhow -so far, so good. Only around 20 -25 rooms, but 2 sides, like the towers in 1 of the original mansion in a way.

Also, please let me know what to improve, specifically or in-general. This was fun!

I fixed the platform room issue, though I can't figure out how to put an invisible layer in, so just put a regular path.

As for the preview picts, I went to SPECIAL & clicked REMOVE PREVIEW PICS & it removed all from the mansion, so I was glad I had a back-up copy to refix! Cheesy

Do I REMOVE PREVIEW PICTS before I create a mansion next time? (I have other ideas :-])

Thanks for the help all!!!!

Welcome!
You were fast starting building a house. I'll try to play it and will report bugs and other problems I might have.

Hey Bluemaan! Welcome to the boards.
Nice mansion, but the size in KBs... Did you delete the preview pictures in the Editor? Well since your new its ok but for future updates, delete them. To delete them, go into the special menu in the editor and click, "Remove Preview PICTs."

Another thing: Read the PM I sent you!

Just found this bug in room 17098... When the moving platforms go up, then go up and force Jack into the next room then... either the computer crashes, or unexpecly quits MM. (Midnight Mansion) I recommend just putting a invisible white thingy that stops the platform from going up. Its the very last selection in the editor of the platforms.

Hi Bluemaan, welcome!
Nice mansion, but I had the same problem as Wingy. The game crashed when Jack went up on the platform to the next room.
Keep up the good work.
Cool

I had the same problem in 17098! I must add that I like the design so far.

Hi Bluemaan,
welcome to the forums. Smiley

Although it does feature lot of great ideas, and a 'wild style look' I had a couple of problems with your mansion:

There are just too many rooms that are unaligned, (meaning floors have different heights), so Jack has many unneccessary deaths,
or paths that lead into nowhere... and other stuff like that.
Apart from that there are a couple of  little drawing errors, with tiles missing, or put in the wrong layer.
It seems like you created that mansion very fast.

One tip would be: go through your mansion, as if you're new to it, explore every possible way.... and definitely check the floor heights of adjacent rooms. And test-play it a lot!

I'm also not very sure if I like the idea of doors that are "floating in space" (i.e. not anchored to a floor and a ceiling), as that always leaves a strange 'rest' in the air, that is normally there, to indicate an opened door. It looks good on the ground, but in the air??

However, that last point is probably down to personal taste.

But there is already a lot of nice stuff in that masnion of yours.

Kepp designing !!

Hi bluemaan and welcome on board.  I must say that I share aquamat's opinions on your mansion.  Don't get me wrong, your mansion is definitely worth going to the list of completed mansions - but only after it has been thoroughly beta-tested.  This free up/downloading forum is for mansions like yours and my twins, which are not finished.  Feel free to ask someone (maybe 2 or 3 persons) to beta test your mansion for you.  After you have found your testers you should use e-mail rather than the boards to discuss the testing.

I'm looking forward to see this mansion in a finished state.

Found a stuck point!
Room 16901. If you go up the vine, and jump onto the M blocks, and jump until you're in the top right corner, you'll be stuck!
Glad to help.
