Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

A Jack stuck in Palace of Gore

Room #17100.  If you go down to the snake pit trying to reach the lever for the gray door (which I now know is not the right way) and killing the snakes (and a few Jacks) you are stuck in that pit.

Excuse me, brell....

Of course I know that -theoretically - that is possible... and that's why there are so many snakes in there !!

But who is repeatedly walking into a trap like that ???  (When it's soo obvious that it's a trap, after you've fallen into it for the first time....).

Sorry, folks.... but this one has to remain in there.  Just avoid the trap, when you're walking there for the second time.....

BTW:  God almighty..... you forced me into giving the word "trap" away  (there might be some players left, who haven't yet gotten to that room..... to them: please forget what you just read).   Smiley

@ aquaMat:
Since I have beta-tested this mansion, you know that we don't have exactly the same opinion about e.g. Jack-stucks in general. What is not so important. But that is not the point here. To answer your question, I believe that doing what brell did is not that strange. When I was there I had the same experience, because I thought there could be a prize, a side-jump to the left, a lever, ... So repeating this movement is really not sooo odd, I think.

Freddy has more or less answered for me Wink

To me it was NOT obvious that it is just a trap.

This I learned the hard way while making TWM and BtSO:  No matter how things look obvious to you, the builder, they will NOT look the same to the player.  Actually this might as well be posted on the "sins" list:  Don't assume anything about the players.  If there is a stupid/obscure/unorthodox/whatever way to play a room, there will be a player who will do it no matter whether it leads to JS or cheap death or any other unforeseen situation.

brell, Freddy:

Of corse I know that last point well.... "do not assume anything that seems obvious to you might be obvious to all others"
...and usually -as you know- I try to stick to that rule.  (I also learned that the hard way, BTW)

But in this case:  Who -of a sane mind- would hide a prize / key in a pit where you have to victimise 4 lives before you could get at it ??  I sure wouldn't.
And the green room is such a nice puzzle, and the "trap" is an important part of it that I do not want to change it.

For freedom's sake....let's not turn this whole thing into a "who spots the most Jack-stucks contest".   Smiley

Okay - it's not a "Jack-Stuck" - but I am stuck in 17,508 and can't find where to go next...

I didn't actually ever do this one previously, and now, I'm trying it in HD.

*spoiler* found the key, so that's not the problem, but I tried going to the right - nothing; up, no way; nothing down either... HELP???

Hi suztours- highlight to see ***spoiler alert***

You should be able to go right, and up.

I don't know how to check this in HD without playing through to that point, but post if you're still stuck.
