Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Thanks psychotronic, it works!

One thing though I still don't get.
If I want to use the so build wall as a secret pathway, I do have to put layer 6 briks without draw brik fringe in front of the "background wall", right  Undecided

Not really. It should still look like a solid wall until Jack tries to jump through it, and then he'll walk right in front of them, which looks very much like a secret pathway. I think there's even a couple of secrets like that in the original eight mansions. But if you want him to go behind the wall instead, you can always put some fringe-less bricks in layer 6 instead of layer 0. Then Jack will pass in front of the fringe and behind the bricks. It'll look a little weird, but it will definitely look like a secret.

Yepp, I meant this kind of secret pathway.
It really looks weird, sort of like Jack goes right through the wall  Smiley

The other kind of secret wall is also a great way to hide secrets.
I experimented with it today and it's a lot of fun  Smiley

Thanks again for your help, psychotronic.

By the way, I discovered that you don't have to add fringe in layer 0 to make it look 3D if you draw a wall in layer 6 and copy it to layer 0. But it only works with a black background or a background picture. Drawn tiles will erase the fringe if they're added to close to the wall.
You probably already know. But just in case …  Wink

Exactly. That's why I put the fringe in layer 4 or 5, usually.

AHHHhhhhhh, but joy of joys, when 1.08 is released and AQUA becomes the transparency mask for almost everything graphic the black background issue will disappear and whole new layering tricks will become possible.

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

The trick is to ... relax by knowing that MM 1.0.8 will be there BEFORE the expansion pack, although there was a time that I thought (and announced Roll Eyes) that both were going to be released together.

It is like your birthday with all its presents. It will never be in April or May. How hard you try! Wink

But believe me. The MM 1.0.8-present will be a nice one when it is there.
