Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Just want to say again how much I love this mansion. It was the first custom mansion I fell in love with. I adore the graphics and the little huts and the grass and the ropes and everything. Cheesy.

Any chance Matt and Joe B will make another?

It's funny I just realized it uses custom graphics with the mummy graphics... Before that I wondered why you guys liked it so much! Now I realize how great it is, and it's awesome. The only thing that botheres me is how it uses the mummy characters. Mummys aren't made to be in the jungle... Wink Grin

Lara,

Yes we will be making a sequel but with Jack's sister Jill searching for him. I'm going to try to combine elements of Mummy and TOTOMBS,  kind of like a James Bond all over the planet chase.

Wingy,

Thanks! Seeing as you're a MM machine, I'd be interested to see what you can do with the graphics. I think some of the jungle stuff would work great with the Adventures of Ted. Feel free to use anything you wish.

samskeleton,

You shouldn't be seeing mummy graphics. If you are then you're using the MR sprites file with TOTOMBS. Switch back to the standard sprites file and you should get a MUCH better experience.

All,

Once Vern release 1.08 where all the changed graphics are in the mansion file I'll go back and fix the M&J mansions. The only one which will require file swapping will be Dominator. But with the tool ryos has put together that should become a snap too. Unfortunately today is one of those annoying "real" work days so I won't be working on any MM stuff today.

Hope this clears things up a little!

Joe B

Joe, how in the world do you use completely new sprite files (walls), without changing the graphics file? It's amazing!!!

@Sam:

Since version 1.0.7 it is possible to put changed TILES into the mansion's resource file (you don't need a changed Midnight Mansion Sprites file.) From 1.0.8. this will be possible with SPRITES too.

Good answer samskelton but it's actually been possible since 1.06. I'm still using 1.06. I actually think that I could also do it in 1.05 which was where Vern changed the transparency color to aqua. But your answer IS absolutely correct.

@Vern:

Will we be using the same model; aqua denoting transparency?
