Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Nice. A one way ladder going up, and leads to your death if it's a longer ladder. Somewhere, I remeber, there's a ladder somewhere that goes up, and you can't go back down, Jack will just duck, instead of going down the ladder. I'm not sure if this is true, but I think it was in some puzzle or maze in a mansion with ladders and different levels of brick.

Nice discovery! When first saw the tread I thought it would be as surprising as the Dalton brothers mansion by Alexander.

Hi Nick,

I didn't quite get your "ladder trick"....   Undecided

Or did you mean simply the fact that you included several of that broken bits of ladder, which (sometimes) gives the impression as if Jack "stumbled" or let go of the ladder ???

I say "sometimes" because when I tried it (in your "ladder trick" mansion) it only worked about 1 out of 3 times. The other times Jack just went down the ladder quite normally. (Maybe it's due to the height, and would work better on a longer ladder, but I'm not sure ?!)

However, did you know that you can use those broken bits of ladder to create  a ladder where it's possible that Jack can get off in the middle of it (or wherever you put the broken bit) ?
I have built a ladder like that in my Palace Of Gore, if I remember correctly....

Simple example:

Really, it has worked every time for me.

Oh yes ??  Strange.... it didn't for me. BTW, I had a similar issue in one of JoeB's mansions (Ghosthunter ?), where he had built a room where there was a succession of short ladders, surrounded by zippers....and you had to manoeuvre one of the ExP. "little man" creatures up and down the ladders to switch the zippers off.

As the short ladders were so close on top of each other, my little man always had problems with steppin' off. Usually he continued further down on the next ladder.

Back then I had the feeling, that apparently there's a "bug" in the ladders, where Jack (or a "little man") doesn't recognize that he can't step off it, when the ladder is too small..... very confusing ?!

Yeah, AquaMat, that little man that helps you in Ghosthunter... you sort gotta hold down the ^> keys to get him on place to pull the lever.

When I tried the trick, worked everytime...  Undecided

Wingy, by  > and < did you mean the normal arrows (for up, down, left and right) or something else ?

If you're talking 'bout the arrows, do you mean, while the little man climbs down the ladder, you're simultaneously holding the right key ?

If so, thanks for telling me, I'll try that.

Yes, I mean hold down the default ^> keys, (at the same time) which are the left and up arrow keys.
