Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Hi Toybox,
I am answering your enquiry while I'm on vacation so I don't have access to my mansions or the game.
But I can confirm safely that there are no "secret large black areas" in DoD, at least not that I know of...  Wink

You have the impression that you did find a whole bunch of secrets and still have only 80 %.... because.... there are indeed a whole lot of secrets throughout the discotheque. As far as I remember there are close to 50 secrets (!!) in DoD..... so you'll probably still have to find quite a considerable number of secrets !   Cool

But....that's part of the fun, isn't it ??

It certainly is  Cool That's part of the replay value. And replaying it often means getting more skilled at it...

I remember playing and replaying the first part of Falcon Manor and Nightmare Mansion thousands of times before registering properly for the game. (Twenty dollars well spent, among the best I daresay Smiley)

After that training I knew these sections by heart and would get all secrets without losing a single life, even in hard mode - a huge difference with the later sections. I imagine what it would look like if I had recorded my playing: a skilled Jack suddenly becoming crazy, clumsy and reckless.

Ok, I just can't figure out the zappers in room 20906....I have been playing it for DAYS! I came in from 20905...got through to 20910 and had to turn back due to a closed door. Feel really stupid but don't get the hint "looking too early". Now I got through Thunderstorm so I should be able to handle this, right?
Help!

Hi Windrider,

welcome to our forums and thanks for playing DoD !!

Welll.... as I said before, the room in question is definitely the hardest of the whole Discotheque...!
I can't help you any more than by saying (again): Try to get in the groove !

With the hint above ("it looks as if it's too early") I mean: The right moment to start jumping through the zappers is a moment that actually gives the impression as if it was too early to be the right moment !

Do you know what I mean ?

Please don't let that room frustrate you and keep on playing !
You are almost there...!   Wink    Cool

Actually, what is missing in the Expansion Pack is some sort of umbrella to protect you from zapper beams.

Both of your main zapper challenges are quite hard, aquaMat - you end up learning though (in my experience), but it could become frustrating: if you don't manage no matter what you cannot pass them at all.

However: once you find out when to start moving, it is quite easy. Sort of. For some value of "easy". May contain nuts.
