Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Leopard ??
16.03.2008 at 04:01:55

When I see all remarks in the last 4 topics, I wonder if there could be any relation with macosx 10.5 Undecided

Two odd issues in Brugge ... Roll Eyes

1° After playing MM full screen it often happened that the files on my desktop had moved.

2° During play (full screen) sometimes the game was frozen for several minutes. And I may be wrong, but I think that it always happened when the Time Machine got in action. Anyway, doing nothing Grin helped!

I use Leopard but I haven't had any problems. I even have tried playing in a full screen mode. The only problem is the player Grin Grin Grin

Freddy, the problem with files on the desktop being moved after a full-screen game is an old problem....and the reason for that is the automatic switching of monitor resolution that takes place when a game is played in full-screen.
It happens to me very often, but strangely never happens with MM. (I am still using OS 10.4.7, however).

But it does happen, for example, when I play MM in full-screen and then do a screenshot (cmd-sw-3) !!  Very strange.....
But even this is related to the resolution-switching.... 'cause when I do the screenshot while using the MM editor (= playing without resolution change) the desktop is not in disarray !!

The problem is this: If you switch the game to some smaller resolution, such as 640x480, and put a new file on your desktop while the game is full-screen in this resolution (such as a screenshot, a saved game, or anything else), AND your desktop does not have room (at the smaller resolution) to put your new icon there in a nice way, then when you switch back to your normal resolution all your icons will be piled up on top of each other!!!

This is a very vexing problem that users blame developers for, but the thing is we can't do a darn thing about it. There has been much complaining on the Apple developer lists for years about this... that it is a KNOWN issue in OS X, and Apple has done nothing about it. Sigh. Wish I could fix it, but I can't.

But... knowing about it, you can at least know to avoid taking screenshots or saving files to your desktop while fullscreen in a smaller resolution.
