Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Which CM are easier to play?
17.08.2008 at 01:41:10

I've only been playing MM about a month and have downloaded some of the CM's. But it appears most of them are of a Normal to Hard difficulty. I did find two that were marked Easy: The Swiss Mansion (enjoyed that one) and Helter Skullter (only played once so far and haven't beaten it yet).

Are there some CM's you'd recommend that are at the easy end of normal?

P.S. I'm already working on building an Easy CM myself. I've got it laid out on paper and just have to build it in the Level Builder.

Great !   Go ahead...!

We always welcome new designers.....!!

Of all the custom mansions you possibly could try:

(in alphabetical order)

FACES normal
Matt&Joe's Intro
Mikee's Castle
and maybe Tim's Mansion
and The Turtle Mansion  (though I hardly remember that one, but I guess it was fairly easy).

Really easy is
A Deserted Holiday Village
. I made it myself and I must confess, it is not a really 'beautiful' mansion. But it IS easy.

Freddy's Midnight Mazes and Monsters is really easy.  Grin

Ha! Just kidding, save that one for later. Wingy's Small Mansion would be a good one, I think.

You could also try the easy parts of Three Way Mansion and Back to Square One.

Echo Keep was one of my first CMs and I thought it was fairly easy.

Catwoman,

if you have finished playing the very easy CM's, you might try "The Birdcage". It's one of only a few of my mansions that is NORMAL instead of HARD.

I guess after you gained a little practice you might be able to beat that.

Speaking of Catwoman..... I went to see the new Batman movie 2 days ago (The Dark Knight). I usually don't like Hollywood super hero blockbusters very much....but Christopher Nolan is a director that I admire a lot. His Memento was unbelievable....

But:  I found the Batman film unbelievably boring. I really can't believe that it is having so much success with both, critics and audiences.
I almost fell asleep several times, and thought of leaving early, which is something I hardly ever do when I'm at the movies.

(BTW, I knew that was off-topic...... but you're called Catwoman after all).
