Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Yes but remember that you can minimize the scrolling by collapsing the categories by clicking the small minus in the top left corner of each category.

And, good point for our YABB-software, a collapsed category shows when there is a new post! Or not.

This works only when you are logged in, btw. When you are not logged in, all boards are shown. Thus ... always log in!

I know, that's how I view the board. Smiley.

Hi Guys,

I think the boards look great, and are much better organized, and also easier for a beginner to find their way around.  Roll Eyes

I am finding one thing that is cumbersome for me with the new set up;

The listing of each and every custom mansion makes the page so long, and requires a lot of scrolling to get through all the topics.

I was delighted to read the above posts about minimizing these topics, but alas, this only works when one is logged in, and I traditionally only log in when I wish to post or reply, so this procedure does not help me.

Wondering if perhaps it could be standard that they be listed as "Approved Custom Mansions (A - C)" and then the guest/viewer could click on that and open them up to the individual named mansions?  As I don't know much about how forums are programmed, this may not be possible, but just an idea.

Thanks to all the admins for the great work they do to keep MM game and forum working smoothly !!!

Well, this is one more reason to log in every time you visit the forums.  Also, when logged in, you'll quickly see which categories and boards contain new posts.

I am not sure what you mean.  You can only collapse the categories while logged in.  If you do, they stay collapsed next time you log in.

Sorry Brell, I knew when I was writing the above it was confusing even to my eyes, but I was in a bit of a rush.   Smiley

What I meant was, If when a person first looked at the forum (not logged in) if the CM's could be contained inside categories,  (such as A -C), and then open to show each one, once this was clicked on.

So the main page would look like the pic in Lara's post, without a member/guest having to be logged in.

This way, the main page would not be soooo long, but all the CM's would still be easily located and readily accessed.   Cool

Hope that makes my fuzzy thoughts a bit clearer !  Wink

Thanks,

SandyBean Smiley

That's a really great idea SandyBean, have the main header visible for CM's then click it to get to the list specific CM's. I know you can collapse the header if you're logged in, but a lot of times I check the forums at work and don't want to log in (for various reasons.)

I agree, keep the first page short for a good overview. Still, it's a very nice forum [perhaps not only due to design but to content as well Smiley MM rox]

If I understand correctly you are asking whether we can have the categories collapsed while not logged in.

No, we can't.

A question about the great new individual boards:

Why are some mansions' individual boards different from all the rest by stating details about their size and difficulty etc. (e.g. Daedalus), while most others say only "This board is open for use" as a subtitle ??
