Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

After Save Point 1 - Getting that darn purple key
19.09.2008 at 07:36:05

Hi,

I finally got to save point one in this mansion. YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! IT TOOK AAAAAGES. Cheesy.

Anyhow, I got my yellow key and went upstairs towards the grey room start point (16499). But in the room to the left of that is the room with the lever, three grey doors and the purple key. How do I get the purple key? I can't see anything hidden that would enable me to get open the grey door at the top of the ladder wihtout 'actioning' the lever below. Then I can't get back! Sad

Help?

Thanks! Smiley

P.S. LOVE this mansion.

Lara,

There may be a better way to do it, but if you commit suicide after you pull the lever, then you'd be on the left side of the grey door and could collect the purple key.  Wink

Doldrum Dungeon:
This is for me, together with M M & M, the only CM I have never managed to finish !!

Even though I really like it....!

I have the feeling that there's something wrong with the balancing of money / lives versus Save Pedestals....especially in the first part.
I always run out of lives before I can really reach a save pedestal....by now I have played the beginning so often that it bores me.....but it's still frustratingly hard in places....and I still can't get much further.   Cry

It is a shame, aquaMat, bcause then you are missing the IMO best gold/silver block puzzle in any mansion made so far.

I just played it to the first saving point [which has two pedestals... probably for a good reason?] and went up for the purple key. I get a feeling that the idea is to go not back, but forth, the same way, do a second save [so you don't have to do it again] and enter the room with the purple key again, this time with the grey door open! tadaa [haven't got the purple yet, just the second save... but now: off to the dungeon!]

Jackie's solution is much easier, but thanks! Smiley
