Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Custom Mansion Online High Scores worth $3.99?
09.02.2010 at 09:17:51

If I were able to provide the ability for custom mansions to have online high scores (maybe even protected, so users can't cheat by modifying the mansion), would this be something that would be worth $3.99 or possibly $4.99 to you? (An upgrade if you want this feature.)

I am not promising anything, just looking into the possibility, because it might indeed be possible.

to me, definitely yes. The price of MM is low as it is considering what you get (I usually never buy software, I find freeware that do the same thing, but nothing free is as good as this Smiley ) and adding an extra 4 bucks would be like adding nothing Smiley

Also, it would be fun to have the scores kept somewhere safe, and also it would trigger (me) to replay many of the mansions

Is this something that would ship with the extension pack only, or with the current version as well?

If added, this would ship as a $3.99 addition to the current game, and maybe a free part of the sequel, built-in.

I'd wondered why you didn't offer an an expansion pack every year or two (less expensive than a complete game) but a bit more than 3.99. Now that I've seen some of the testing process, some of that is cleared up.

Haha. Yeah.

Although the more complete answer is, there just aren't very many mansion designers who design the style of mansion that I'm looking for, when I want built-in mansions done. Most custom mansions on this forum tend to try to use things in the game in ways they were not intended to be used, and they attempt to create interest through that, rather than through what I'd consider to be solid mansion design (that focuses on exploration and, to a lesser extent, puzzle-solving).

But the testing process is a part of it. Wink

I LOVE the idea of having high scores for custom games. Yes, I'd pay for that. That's one reason I played and replayed and replayed the original mansions was to try to get a high score.
