A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

Dr. D's Den Hard Help

I need help! I made it to the save point in 15904 with 2 yellow keys. I have made it to room 15707, got the lower purple key, used it in room 15908 but I can't get to the upper purple key in 15707. Can you give me a hint? Thanks, great mansion!

Look for color-coordinated round tiles below levers and above doors.

Just to make sure I understand... You're stuck in room 15708? with the gray doors, and silver/gold blocks? Was 15908 a typo? You would have had to get past the purple door in 15908 to get to 15707.

Also, to add to Semi Native's hint:

* Brown levers with no round tiles underneath, toggle the silver/gold blocks

* Green levers toggle the gray doors

The lever color coding/decorations should be consistent...

15707 is as far as I can get. I used the lower purple key from 15707 to open the door in 15908, but when I return to 15707 I can't get to the upper purple key to open the lower purple door. Am I missing another purple key somewhere? So far the only ones I can find are in 15707.

Huh... that's really interesting. I guess it is possible to get to 15707 without going through 15908, then... and yes, I think I see how it was done. Wow... I didn't see that coming. Well, there is another purple key somewhere beyond 15908. Did you get that one? You should still be able to get to it.
