The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here. News: Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed. Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available. Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game. The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

A list of downloadable HD ready custom mansions

Here is a list of MM1 custom mansions, that have been converted for the HD version of the game.
All mansions in this list have been tested and should work in the HD. If not please let us know at the appropriate board in this category.

The mansions uploaded here are:
1. Those that work in the HD without any complications (as far as we could tell). We did not have to make any changes before uploading them.
2. Those that needed minor changes to work, but without affecting the playing value of the mansion as intended by the author. If this was the case we contacted the authors for their approval or asked them to make the necessary changes.

Other mansion, which need more reconstruction to work in the HD (as those with custom graphics) are not converted and uploaded until the authors have fixed them.

Note that the links in the list take you to the same post where the original mansion file resides. You will note that there are now two separate files to download. The one with the HD ready cm has "HD" included in its name.

Not sure if we're having server slowdown (or maybe weekly maintenance?) or something else, but on at least one of the individual pages (not on Brell's "master list" - the links to the individual pages work fine), when I right-click on the HD file link (XYZ HD.zip), instead of showing the zip file when picking the directory where I want the file to download (external hard drive), I get "YaBB.pl" (apparently the Perl script that was supposed to start the download). If I just click (left) on the link, the page only reloads on me.

As I said, it may be due to server load or maintenance going on tonight, so I wanted the sysadmins to know so they could keep an eye on things and/or check the individual pages. One that gave me this problem (all these are HD versions) were:

La Luna Mansion (tried 3 different times over space of 10 minutes)

Also had some which didn't work at first, but then did:
~~Starter Home~~ (worked on second try)
~~Mini Ore Mine~~ (link worked second time, a minute or so later)
~~Palais Pompomrouge easy~~ (worked on third try, after 5 minutes)
~~Octopus Mansion, hard~~ (worked on second try, about 20 seconds later)

I didn't check all of the links (most are okay, though), however. Hopefully, this is only a temporary glitch.

There has been no maintenance work here at the forum. Normal click, however, downloads the file.

Jim,

While we were adding the HD versions of the MM1 mansions, I did see what you're talking about more than once, and put it down as a strange glitch with the forum boards. It's not a result of anything we did.

I saw it a number of times, and to "fix" it, I simply canceled the download and tried it again, occasionally more than once. The fact that it doesn't happen consistently for me makes me think it's a forum glitch. I meant to look into why it might be doing that, but was busy with other things... At the time, I thought I might not have waited for the page to fully load or something.

Brell, Rob - Thanks, it seemed like what you both described, since I only had the one file (as I'd written) that didn't finally allow me to download - and it may have been that my WiFi connection was flaky at the time. Has occasionally happened to me.

I'll go check that one file and see about trying to download it. Wink

Brell - wanted to update for any who wondered if I got La Luna mansion downloaded finally (I got distracted with playing all the other mansions for a wee bit in between there... Roll Eyes

Anyway, I followed your directions Brell, and just clicked on the link this time (worked fine!). Thanks!

Now I need to go track down some hints for AA Bottoms Up...

Brill, or anyone on here who actually knows -

Finally finished MM HD: Jacques’ Revenge, Part 2, and near the end it mentions a planned follow-up MM HD Mansion, “Escape From Paris”.

Several persons, including Vern, were listed as helping create Jacques’ Revenge 2, but does anyone know if that game mansion was completed?

Hi Jim- Leo started the series with Palais Pompomrouge, then Jacques Revenge 1 & 2, but sadly he vanished from the forum before releasing Escape From Paris. Not sure who all was helping him (and may or may not have a copy of the unfinished mansion), but it was a great series that really deserved a grand finale.
