A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

The Great Escape easy - the last secret (possible spoilers)

As Roger Waters put it:  "Banging your head against some mad bugger's wall".  Replace "your" with "Jack's" and "some mad bugger's" with "Toybox's"  Cool

I've found 8 secrets and can't find the ninth.  I think I have found all the secret rooms.  Are there 5 such rooms?  How many of the other 4 secrets are not hinted?

I'll have a look into this: I may have miscounted, or not properly hinted, or misplaced the blue S -- in all cases that should be fixed.

Then again, you may have overlooked something obvious  Wink

Toybox, there is no miscount since players have finished TGE easy with 100% secrets.  Of course I have overlooked something - but we may have a debate about how obvious it is  Wink

Found it - and must admit that it was pretty obvious. No debate this time.

Well done anyway!

I can't remember where the secrets are. You have to write down in which room you find secrets. That is the only way really to finally find all. Good luck.

Hi again! I have now played the mansion 3 times. I find 9 secrets but I only get credit for 8. As I have managed to get 100% many years ago but only get 88% now I guess something has happened when the mansion was translated over to HD format. Angry

Ohh, is that so ? Okay then thats an issue I guess, I would have to visit the mansion once again to check if thats the case with me as well.
I will mention the rooms where I find those 8 secrets Smiley

Thanks so much Rose.

Pooja, I was wrong. There are 9 secrets. I replayed the mansion several times to check I had done right and I hadn't. Bylooking at the map I found a secret room that wasn't hinted anywhere except on the map. There are 9 secrets!!
