A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

Trying to solve Room 15891 (but not yet...)
02.11.2016 at 04:53:18

In Room 15891 (with the reversing belts and the gold key going up to the lava pit; it's near the end - I hear...), I am having trouble getting through the progression of backs & forth to reach the level in time.   Lips Sealed Angry>Sad Shocked

Is this room just d**nably difficult (& one has to have the reflexes of a teenager to complete it?), or am I missing something in this room for the solution? I tried finding any other exit from the room that might be closer to the small starting ladder, but not finding one (except the one on the left, and the gold door on the right).

If anybody's still on here, I'd love to get a hint or at least know that I will have to work up my reflexes to complete this room.

Thanks,

RiverCity Jim

Long time since I played the mansion. I have to find my old computer and play it again before I can help you. I know that by practise you can speed up your reflexes though. Practise and time will do that.

Hi Jim and rose,

I haven't played it in a while either, but if I get a chance I'll play it and see if I can help.

Okay, I just replayed. There's no hidden trick, you just have to be really fast. Jump off those belts as fast as you can, then pull the lever at the top, which reverses the block the key is on. You'll sink to the floor, and be ready to run and jump for that key before it gets higher than you can reach.

Good luck!

I have also tried it and I wasn't fast enough. I need to practise again. I don't play MM very often anymore.
