I grew up playing games in the 80s and 90s, and just loved the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and arcade games of the era. As I've gotten older, I've found my fondness for those types of games has remained. Yet, most commercial game developers today seem to think they have to create 3D games in order for it to sell well. What about all the fun that can be had in glorious 2D?
ActionSoft is founded on the premise that retro games are still fun. It's my intention to bring some of the amazingly great gameplay from the 80s into the modern era with stunning hi-res graphics, professional quality music, great level design, and ruthless attention to detail.
I released my first Mac game, Midnight Mansion, in 2005, and it has since developed a loyal following of fans. I then finished up college, then began work on Insectoid, which was released in November 2009. Future projects include a Midnight Mansion sequel, as well as new games, and possibly ports of Midnight Mansion to iPhone, iPad, and possibly Windows. Stay tuned -- cool things are coming!
One of the things I take pride in is the way I treat my customers. I attempt to go above and beyond in being ethical in how I carry out my business. If you purchase one of my games, you won't find yourself disappointed due to misleading or dishonest advertising. My customers seem to be some of the most satisfied around. Many who have purchased my first game say it's one of the best game purchases they've ever made, still providing great value even years later.
I also personally handle all the support, so when you email ActionSoft support with a problem, you're getting a reply from the guy who wrote the game himself. When you write for help, you won't be getting a scripted reply from someone in India.
In addition, I highly safeguard all customer information. In no way, shape, or form will I ever sell, give out, or allow outside access to the ActionSoft mailing list or any other customer information. I hate spam just as much as you do, so I'll be the last person to compromise your personal information!
