Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

This Old Mansion

I'm about a third of the way through my next mansion, tentatively called 'This Old Mansion.' It's larger than 'Arevn's Mansion', but has about the same level of difficulty. I know that some of my graphics have probably been inspired by other mansions, but I've played so many that I can't remember if this is the case, or who inspired me. If I've stepped on any toes, please let me know!

I'm including a preview to whet your appetite.

Cheers,

Arevn

Nice fireplace! You should put candles under it and only let the flame show and cover the rest with layer 6! Then it would look like a real fire instead of just lava! Oh, and it looks better when you put the end of the pole on.  Wink

Looks fascinating.  Smiley

Well, erm, *blush*, I remembered that someone had used candles to make a fireplace at some point (you, I imagine now Wink) and I didn't want to 'plagiarize', so I came up with something more... sadistic. It's not so much a fireplace as it is an oven. The owner of this mansion is a bit of a monster, as I've surmised from the number of skeletons lying around this place....  Bwa ha ha.  Roll Eyes

The pole is fixed.  Embarrassed

Yes I did do that in that Jack Christmas thingy... But I think I got it from someplace els... maybe from one of the inclued mansions?
Anyways... I reconize when you jump of the zapper beam on girders... I think it was from a room in Volcanis when you were going up or >> in the first part! But who cares, I just did it instead of lava to add that eye ball to make it harder.

And... that bed... its from the House inclued mansion, right?  Wink

arevn, don't worry about using other people's ideas. All artists get inspired at least partially by others' works. It's not like you're copying big chunks of somebody else's mansion.

Your new one looks great.

Someone else did the zapper beam girder thing? Ooookay.  Back to the drawing board.  Sad As for the bed, it's not a bed, it's a lounge chair.  Undecided

Maybe this mansion wasn't such a good idea after all. While I think it's almost impossible to not get inspiration from somewhere, if there's so much in just one room that raises eyebrows, then I probably shouldn't proceed.

Thank you for your valuable comments.

No no no! I like this mansion! Looks good! Don't pack it up and into the trash! So what if you use other people's ideas, but who cares! Sooner or later, there will be no more ideas to use so you'll
have
to copy someone els' ideas!  Wink Hopefully that day won't come anytime soon. I don't think it will with the expanion coming out with more features.

Basicly what I said was the same as what Semi-Native said. Anyways... one things that you must do: Don't stop making mansion because you think you're a copy-cat! Well, everyone is if you do a little research!  Wink

P.S. Hey, what do you know. This post seems to be my 203rd post! Past 200! Yay!  Smiley
