A brief history of the game
At first there was Midnight Mansion, now often called MM1. This game package was for Mac only and contained 8 mansions, each on easy, normal and hard level. Above that there was a builder included, so that customers could design mansions themselves.
Then there was Midnight Mansion HD, now abbreviated as MM1 HD for both Mac and Windows. It contained the 3x8 mansions from MM1 plus 3x a bonus mansion: Tomb of Princes. All in high definition!
Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills, includes 28 mansions with a lot of new features. The 8 built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. Yes indeed, the MM2 package also has an included builder to create mansions!

Custom mansions

In the past decades several customers started experimenting with the builders. Creating rooms. Talking about it on the Midnight Mansion Forums. Sending their own designed mansions to other board members to test them. And finally sending them to the administrators of MMF.
Result? Nearly 200 extra mansions are downloadable from these boards and some of them have over 100 rooms.
If you like to download custom mansions, go to the General Custom Mansions Area (Mac and Windows) where you find the lists with all the download spots.

That happened to me, too. The first time, I started over. The second time, I finally found it again... but it took awhile.

Great mansion, Olle's gf!

I tried moving up, down, left, right, jumping, climbing and nothing seems to work. I can pull the lever but it only seems to affect the electric arc.

Hey Spiak,

I got stuck there too the first time around, and don't quite know how we got out, but luckily Jack did.

The second time through me and Jack paid attention, and we had to remember
to stay calm and grounded after pulling the lever, and not go jumping to conclusions.

I hope this helps, BTW to Ollie's GF, this is an excellent mansion so far, I was thinking 'ya first mansion, easy break, not lots of brain cells needing to rub together' ...........boy were me and Jack off base, this is excellent, some great hiding spots found, and excellent challenges!!!!

Keep it up Ollie and your GF, great work !!!    Grin

Thanks,

SandyBean  Smiley

I cannot find the vine again!  I jumped into the area, turned on the lever and turned around to go down the vine.  But I am stuck and NOTHING works.  I have even moved one step or jump at a time and waited until I saw the "zzz"s to locate Jack.  But he will not move to the vine.  Is there a pattern of platforms to be negotiated?  Is there a block after you turn the lever to turn off the electricity?

Hi Bert. There are no platforms or anything, it's just very tricky to get back on the vine. Just keep trying, I know it can be frustrating, but keep at it, and good luck.
