Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Thanks for this new version

I played through this "easy" version and wow, it was great. Jack discovered large areas never seen before, but still only got 66% secrets! He can't wait to go exploring again. This is a masterpiece of a mansion, the design is incredible.

Looking forward to the next one.

I noticed that you used quotation marks around "easy" and I agree.  It is definitely easier than the original but it is still not an easy version.  More like normal.  If Leo agrees I will change the difficulty degree from easy to normal.

PS hats off for Missy for having the patience to beta test the original.

Yes, I see it like that, too.

However, I'm very glad that you have done this..... and it's a lot of fun to have another go at it.

Thanks!

Brell: Sure, no problem. I thought myself that "easy" might be a bit of an understatement, since the original was so hard, that this easy version might best qualify as "normal". So go ahead and change it. And sorry for the misunderstanding!

I am glad though that the easier version fulfills its purpose and makes people play the mansion again, because obviously that's what it's all about: To play MM custom mansions and not be scared away by them  Wink

Difficulty changed to "Normal".  Does not affect the name of the mansion  Wink

If I remember correctly Freddy said once the Psychotronic was the best MM player ever.  I think Missy is giving him a lot of competition having had the patience of testing the hard version.

Not only does Missy have amazing patience, but she also did most, if not all, of that testing without using the "cheats" that, at least for me, make beta-testing much less frustrating.

Wow, I agree, Sherry. When I beta test, I cheat by giving Jack extra lives so I can concentrate on looking for things. Then I go through without cheating.

Although we are getting off-topic here I'd like to add that sometimes I ask the builder for permission to add extra saves while I'm testing.  Saves a lot of time in the long run.
