Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

I've only played Mt. Peril (5 saves), Castle Basano (1), Citadel of Dr Cassiopus (2), Dr. Demented's Den (2), and most recently Leofani Manor (1). All on "Easy" and none completed Smiley

Of these, I have two favorites. Mt. Peril for its really clever design - especially the great use of those deep shafts and platforms, and the feeling of excitement I got as I figured out the shafts and each new area opened up.

Other one so far is Leofani Manor - just started it but I like the "story" - I really want to get into that Manor already! And I love the water pumps and other gadgetry that the writer cooked up with the available graphics. That and the amusing signs here and there make this one really fun for me.

After finally beating Castle Basano (easy) last night, it might be my favorite.  It feels like a very cohesive, consistent world.  It is just straight-up exploration where I never felt completely lost.  I did miss an easy red key in the final cave section and I spent about 20 minutes looking for it -- other than that it felt like a very easy mansion to get around.

Difficulty was well managed, I think.

Now I finally get to play Jasperlone Mts.

Mine is Magma Peak.
Reason: The sign in room 16301, you can actually get away with it.

I found Mt. Peril and Magma Peak the two of my favourites. These were actually the first two I played way back in the beta, and really got me excited (all the new features and clever ways to use them, etc) and wanting to get involved in designing my own mansions for the expansion. I would say the most inspiration came from these mansions. It was super fun designing mansions and I'm glad people enjoy them so. Smiley
