Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

There are only 4 green keys but 5 green doors! I don't think it is fair to find out at the end that you have to replay half the mansion just to keep a (second) green key needed for the end part. If you see a green door and have the key you use it.

I can see how it might be a little frustrating. There was some disagreement between testers about that too. I think in the end it was thought that things like that provided replay incentive (or at least use of save points). You might play once to get through, and then possibly additional times to try things a bit differently and get things you missed the first time. There are similar situations in a few other mansions.

I don't agree as it is too  far between using the last green key and when you need it. You can't make a choice. And frankly I think there are enough incentives to make one play the mansion again and again without first getting angry (I wanted to use a less fine word here). I think it is an unfair game strategy. I didn't pick it up during the testing period. Angry

Actually, you did... you didn't care for it much then, either. Smiley

Updated: I could have sworn there was a bit more discussion about that, but I guess I was wrong, though you weren't the only one to comment about it.

I was just looking back over those posts, and Anthony defended his decision for setting it up by saying that the first game had situations like that in Easy mansions, and that in this case, the bonus at the end was a reward for not using the keys up unnecessarily (paraphrasing).

Did I? My memory is very good but extremely short. Wink It seems I stick with my opinion!
