Actionsoft's latest game, Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills,  includes 28 mansions. The 8 Built-in mansions have 3 difficulties along with 4 extra custom mansions. We don't have that many other custom MM2 mansions yet. Design your own custom mansion! Info below.  You can find out more about the game here.

The original Midnight Mansion game contains over 150 mansions. The 8 included mansions which have 3 difficulty levels each, and about 115 approved custom mansions which you can download here and also several freely uploaded mansions. To know the difference between these three types of mansions, click here.

Are you a creative person and thinking of designing a mansion yourself? Or want to know about how to upload it? Click here and we'll show you! You'll find guidelines for betatesters here.

News:
Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills version 1.0.2b has been released. This fixes a bug in Jasperlone Mountains Hard. Simply re-download the game, bring over your custom mansions folder from the old version and play on. All your saves and high scores will not be changed.

Midnight Mansion HD (MM1) is now available at the Mac App Store and at the Actionsoft website. A Windows version is now available.

Here is a list of downloadable MM1 HD ready custom mansions, which also work in the Windows version of the game.

The MM2 custom mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Freddy/SandyBean/Josephine/brell was updated on 19. Nov 2023 to add a fourth section. Available here

Problem with Mt. Peril easy

I have reached room 17700 with the "escape pod", but it only goes up to the next room above (17500) because of two wooden bricks that are in the way.  This means that I cannot get the last yellow key and thus cannot explore all the treasure room.

The room IDs you gave don't exist, and I'm not sure what you're talking about... Sad

What are you talking about?  I was playing Mt. Peril easy.  Room number 17700 is the room with the gray "escape pod".  Jack pulls the lever behind the four red doors to the right and thus gets access to the "pod" at the bottom.  By "pod" I mean the gray bat platform that goes up when Jack steps on it.  The "pod" is supposed to move up to the left side of room number 16500, where Jack gets a  yellow key and pulls a lever to open a grey door in order to get to the treasure rooms.
But the "pod" never gets to room 16500, because in 17500, which is right above room 17700, there are tvo wooden bricks that stop the "pod".  This means that Jack cannot get that yellow key to the left in room 16500 and thus can't get access to the rooms behind the yellow door in room 16704.

Check rooms number 17700 and 17500 in Mt. Peril easy.  If the "pod" is supposed to go up to room 16500 (as in Mt. Peril normal), then these wooden bricks in room 17500 (between two green disappearing platforms) are in the way.

I have checked the room numbers in the editor.  They DO exist.

Interesting Brell. That's the mansion I've played the most times and I've never had that occur. Could it be a game bug or something?

Are there not two wooden bricks in room 17500 just below the blue key, Catwoman?

Does the grey bat platform go all the way up to room 16500?

Brell, you're talking about the wooden moving platforms, right? They should be timed to avoid the pod going up through the middle. I've been through this a number of times and haven't run into a problem yet. Also, I gave myself four red keys at the bottom by the lift, and have tried that a number of times as well - all times successful.

If not the moving platforms, then the only wooden bricks directly below the blue key I see are in the background (layer 0).

I am talking about the wooden bricks below the blue key.  They are not moving and they are not in the background.  They are in layer 4:

Then I'm confused, because that's not what I see. I am looking at the room in question, and I used the eyedropper while in layer 4 and got no hits except for the moving wooden platforms, or the new vanishing blocks.

Edit: saw your image, but it doesn't match what I'm seeing. I don't have those wooden blocks. Instead, I have a third green block like the other two.

I believe the version you're playing Brell is out of date. Those boxes there aren't there in the 1.0.0 MM2 version.

OK so how do I get the correct version?  Do I need a new code if I download the demo?
